  • H. Joon Kim, MD, an experienced oculoplastic surgeon and clinician, provides a wide variety of surgical procedures that repair the eye socket, eyelids, and tear ducts for adults and children. Her expertise includes treating such things as tear duct blockages, ptosis, periocular cancers, and traumatic injury.

    She also offers expert cosmetic services, including eyelid and brow lifts and injectables, such as Botox and fillers.

    Before joining Moran, Dr. Kim practiced ophthalmology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, as well as VA Atlanta Healthcare System, Children’s Health Care of Atlanta, and Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. She has served as principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous ophthalmic research projects.

    Dr. Kim completed her medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. She completed an oculoplastic surgery and a teaching fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine. 

    In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Kim is passionate about resident and and ongoing global outreach work, teaching and training physicians in low-resource countries.
