Specialties & Services
Interventional radiology consists of minimally invasive procedures performed by radiologists. They use imaging such as ultrasound or CT scans to guide these and other services:
- Chemotherapy embolization
- CT-guided biopsy
- Minimally invasive tumor treatments
- PICC line, port, and stent placement
- TIPS procedures: shunts placed in the stomach or esophagus to relieve pressure in veins disturbed by tumor growth
