Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS) at Sugar House Health Center

For Evaluation and Performance Improvement

BITS

The Bioness Integrated Therapy System (BITS) is designed to evaluate and improve skills for individuals who have disabilities from traumatic injuries and movement disorders. Bioness also improves performance in competitive athletes.

BITS also has an interactive touchscreen that offers diverse training programs. These programs improve several areas:

  • Visual motor activities
  • Visual and auditory processing
  • Cognitive skills
  • Endurance training

Programs such as Trail Making, Bell Cancellation, and Maze Test are new additions to the software. Visual scanning and motor reaction is a four-part trial that assesses your visuomotor coordination, peripheral awareness, hand speed, reaction time, and endurance.

When clinicians use Bioness in addition to our Comprehensive Driving Program, clinicians can provide patients and physicians with more accurate information when a patient is ready to drive again.

Bioness L200 & L300

Bioness L200 upper extremity and L300 (+) lower extremity neuroprosthesis: These devices help patients regain motor control by stimulating their muscles. This is also called functional neuromuscular electrical stimulation (fNMES.)

The Bioness helps your body regain muscle motor control and timing so you can use your muscles correctly after an injury.
