When Jenn, a current first year medical student here at UUSOM didn’t get into medical school on her first try, she chose to take that year to pursue a master’s degree in something that not only interested her, but would provide a path for another potential career. With a Master’s in Pharmacology from Georgetown, she is now more than half way through her first year of med school. We talk about ways that she strengthened her application before reapplying, what her experience thus far has been like, and finally, how you can apply Complimentary/Alternative medicine to Western Medicine.
